Street Eats
Wow, these were good. Dough with sugary syrup and nuts and raisins inside. I hade to have at least two!

Mango with Sticky Rice
Anyone who has been to a Thai restaurant or Thailand has probably had the classic mango with sticky rice. It's really great at this place, the Mango is super sweet and ripe and the rice is actually almost more savory than sweet - so often it is overly sweet.

The Office Cat
Totally passed out. I don't think the cat likes the dog very much. Lucas, the dog thinks he is much smaller than he is so plays too rough!

Paragon Food Court
The food court in the Siam Paragon Mall is pretty amazing. Not only do they have the Thai style food court with any number of shops selling all the Thai standards, but they have all sorts of other option from Korean, Japanese, Italian, etc. It's pretty amazing actually.
A New Home
Looks like I found my apartment. Perfect location and even better price, free, my employer is paying for it!
Sukhumvit Soi 38 Night Market
The night food market on Soi 38. It's become super tourist, I have never seen so many westerners eating street food, sitting on stools in one place! But, some of the food is still pretty good. A but pricey for Bangkok street food, but still super cheap when you look at it compared to LA!

Pork Balls and Ice Cream
Only in Bangkok do you get different sounds coming from outside the office to let you know the various food vendors that have come around. First it was the guy with fish balls, pork balls, meat balls and other various meat on a stick treats. Then 5 minutes later it was the ice cream guy with coconut ice cream, corn and condensed milk...
Back in Thailand!
Well it's only been three months since I was here last, so not very long at all, but sure is always fun seeing the plane come in from the South China sea over Vietnam, Cambodia and into Bangkok. Tonight we had to go way down south and in across the Philippines because of some typhoon.

The Adventure Begins
Bags are packed (poorly) and I am enroute to LAX. Way too much to do still and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Going on adrenaline at the moment, thinking one week at a time...

The Big Mango Awaits
Venice, CA
Thursday, October 14th 2010
After 7.5 years at my current employer working on some great projects with some great, amazingly talented people, having travelled the word (and been amazingly paid for it) shooting TV commercials, working in Advertising, Post Production and the Hollywood bubble, I have decided to head off and pursue new adventures in Bangkok, Thailand.
Why Bangkok one might ask? Well I used to live there for starters, have good friends and family in the region, its cheap, the food is amazing, the people warm and friendly (never mind airports being closed down and rioting in the streets) and I somewhat know the industry I have been so tied to for the last 8 years.
So... off we go. This will be a little adventure blog for anyone who is interested, starting now and ending who knows when or where...
Tuesday I am on a flight from Los Angeles - Tokyo, Narita - Bangkok. A flight I have done so often but yet still love every time. I am sure I will be a mess of emotions on this Tuesday flight.
